University Vascular Access

At University Vascular Access (UVA), our goal is to improve the quality of life for hemodialysis patients. UVA physicians and nurses proactively care for patients with end stage renal disease (ESRD) to improve their health and prevent and resolve complications. We are dedicated to providing high quality outpatient vascular access — a minor surgery procedure used to make it easier to access the blood of ESRD patients. Through special x-ray images, our medical staff carefully looks for abnormalities in fistulas or grafts. When an abnormality is found, a small balloon may be able to correct the problem (angioplasty). X-ray images also guide the removal of blood clots from fistulas or grafts. We also specialize in the placement or removal of hemodialysis catheters and the evaluation of dysfunctional catheters. Most insurance plans pay for vascular access procedures.

University Vascular Access is a service of UT Medical Group, Inc., that provides vascular access services to hemodialysis patients. We are located at 6490 Mt. Moriah Road Ext., Suite 202. Call 901-866-8425 to reach us or to refer a patient.
